this past fri sat...
Jeanne & i loaded mitsy up ((as if we were going for a week...but i digress))...
& drove 1400 miles round trip ....(4 hours on the way back in sideways pouring rain))....

to the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque......

because the weather canceled the Saturday eve glow session i wished we had an opportunity to stay another day....

but.....i'll take what i get...
it was a wonderful day nonetheless....
the morning mass ascension was something everyone should get the chance to experience.......

approx 700 balloons took off within a few hours time....

there were soooooooo many people.....
beautiful people too...
i still cannot put my finger on it without sounding mean to those who live in phx...

but ....there was an air of creativity....
a comfortableness in differences among those who were at the fiesta.
now...that could be attributed to type of event it was....
perhaps balloons attract creative, colourful attractive people?

regardless.....i enjoyed it....=)

got the rejection /not really a rejection letter today from th OK Cherokee Nation re: my PPD in Native American Mothers.

the good / bad / worse news:

the worse...

~ the school term ended.....thus the imaginary previously talked about "deadline" has come and gone"

the bad news...

~ OK Cherokee Nation disallowed my study for approval...

the good news...

~ there are a few misunderstandings ( in their reading of it) .... they asked me to revise & resubmit.
~ my PhD school liason seemed to be able to registered me for the next term....

so...the ball is in my court...
i could accept the letter....( with the multiple listings of reasons why they rejected the study) & walk away...the whole journey ( 3 yrs, comps, 2 yrs writing proposal & getting rejected) is over....officially a PhD ABD (all but published...many many of us out there in the world)

or....

because school is under the understanding that OK is still in the process of deciding ....

i could....
feasibly revise & resubmit before the next term starts, therefore officially still be in a waiting status when the next term starts...

yeah...i know.....
i know that u know that i know i am not the kind to go down without a fight....

It was 7:10 am, I was finishing my 12 hour nite shift. I was on the phone with our NY office, discussing the details of a batch job running on one of our servers. She put me on hold to verify some code info......and I was casually watching the big screen monitor mounted high on the wall a few cubicle isles over.

CNN was showing a plane flying into to first tower. I was still on hold. As I stood up to have someone across the way turn up the volume.......my cohort came back on the line. I'm not sure if I was all that calm when I told her I thought a plane just flew into her building. She said they heard a loud bang, but their supervisor was looking into it. She didnt believe me.

Why should she believe some programmer from AZ telling her a plane just flew into her building.

At that point, I think I told her the 2nd plane hit...f*ck what her boss was saying...everything was not okay...I was not making it up...I described the chaos we were witnessing on the tv...."use your sick time....vacation....just leave!" We hung up and I joined the crowd forming around the TV in silence.

I still wonder if she got out, or how her life changed forever on that day.

My shift ended.....the new crew was on their way into the building......some had been listening to the radio during their commute across the valley.......others were just learning.....some were crying.....others just stood in shock. One of my co-workers, who, on anyother day would be someone I would admire for his constant sunny disposition, walked by in tears trying to get thru to NY on his cell.

Today, if I were to hug him, as I did on 9-11, in the lobby of that fortune 500 org., we would both be advised on "inappropriate behavior in the workplace". How sad is that ?!?!

In the days that followed, when I wasnt glued to the set, crying, or wide awake having anxiety attacks into the night...........I made new friends at the grocery store, let people in line ahead of me-- no questions asked, hugged people with no hesitation, and vowed to be more in the moment.

How long did it take tho.....before people were back to: not acknowledging each other in line at the grocer, inching their cars forward because 'letting someone in' would delay them, re-establishing the unwritten rules of interaction in public, and operating on auto-pilot thru the day????

So.....what can I commit to....today?.....and each day after?

I can acknowledge "friends I haven't met yet".....allow people to cut in front of me in traffic, at the store,.....hug when I get the urge.......and be in the moment..................

i know its been a week...
seems that time line allows me to include all that i find interesting in my life these days...

still looking for employment...
still juggling cc's & unemployment checks...
all the lighting incense at the buddha came thru...
even tho i am "self-employed"...
they felt kind enough to still give me the 214.00 after taxes every week.....

yeah....not much but it does help for the little bills....

i have filled out enough on-line applications to make anyone dizzy w/ the repetitiveness....

i am starting to have anxiety whenever i manage to fall asleep for any short period of time....

i know its been over a week....

other than....
its fuckin hot outside & i am quite done w/ the hair dryer in which i reside....thank u very much...

had an interview last week...
w/ the sheraton...they are opening a new one downtown phx...

she had such a stressful 24 hrs ...
when my babies showed up...

first, i complete the ADDITIONAL requirements ( at the last minute announcement, mind you), then I send a note explaining my views,concerns & opines regarding this new hoop, & then to add the icing to this mud cake of a process Capella seems to have created..... I go back into the additional courseroom to check if I have any further information to read? & THAT POSTING HAS MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED!?!

yeah...why not....its only my financial aide money...its only what I depend on to buy groceries, pay my light bill, put gas in my car so I can continue this uber frustrating process I started almost 5 yrs ago.

but wait!~ theres more.....

I decide to call Capella Support to calm my fears regarding this whole process....& what does the robot phone system lady tell me (which btw? to my surprise is working today...) "sorry, call back later....all learner support is on a team building event!?!?!?

R u kidding me?...no one there to answer the phones?

well..I shouldnt be surprised, there were no emails telling me this term I was enrolled...I had to call to find out. There was NO call back to even acknowledge my mssg or internal email communication yesterday....& today...NO ONE to talk to....

took ALL pups to the park tonite....
for two hours...
Bella....ran around, made friends, bossed everyone else around, gave her battle cry when she felt it necessary....generally stuck her nose in everyone elses business...

Zoe....jumped into anyones lap that paid attn to her.....jumped back down...& repeated about 20 times....

& my psycho korkor?......
SO PROUD...
she watched for the first hour from my lap...
then for the next 1/2 from the ground sitting safely between my feet....
then when things calmed down a bit...& there were less puppers running around....
i let her off the leash....& she actually allowed others to pet her....other dogs sniffed her....& she ran around the little pups park =)

all in all?....it was a good nite at the park.....& now they are all zonked out....yay!~

ok...
so...i was out getting groceries in the heat of the day yesterday...
& saw this little guy dash across the busy road....
& then dash back.....
as i was quickly buzzin by...
i noticed he was having a hard time getting back up on the curb & sidewalk....
& it broke my heart......all i could think of was his little feet getting burned....& the fear he mustve been experiencing....

so .....i turned around ......park my car down the way a bit...& walked back searching for him....
knowing that i might walk up on a squished critter.......
1/2 of me was say "u really dont want to see that...u're gonna look silly crying by the side of the road".....
& the other half was saying "but if you can save him....well....that's just the right thing to do ....
((thinking of right mindedness ...laws of buddhism))

so.....i found him.....scared out of his little mind.....picked him up & put him in the tree so the birds flying around wouldnt scavenge him if he was going to recover.....

took his little picture & went home.....
i'm sure he died......from the trauma & possibly the fright.....
but at least it wasnt as he burned & watched in terror as a tire came to roll over him......

i bought these over two yrs ago....
from a Tibetan furnishings shop in flagstaff,AZ.

i had originally wanted them for the tv room....but the colors didnt really go after i got them home....
& because i couldnt afford to buy another set to place behind to stop the sheerness of them from outside prying eyes....into storage they went.

so.....last nite.....as i was realizing i needed to take the heavy forest green tapestry ones in for cleaning.....

i remembered i had these.......& i am so happy that
they work just beautifully in the piano room...

except for ONE thing......
one VERY LOUD thing...
that thing called chicken!~

her room is an enclosed room off the sliding doors of the piano room......

so now......whenever i cross from the kichen / tv room side of the house into the hallway/bedroom side of the house?

she sees ALL....& usually yells out to greet me....or the dogs...or whatever she thinks she can see now......

i am thinking ( hoping) that this excitement of screaming out everytime something moves in that room - behavior - will calm down......~

oh well......i luv her...& the curtains.....so i'll leave it be for now....

or until the neighbors complain... =)

after changing all reference ( and supporting discussion) of generic "native americans" to more specific Navajo Nation native american women .....at the behest of my committee chair....

the Dr, in charge of the Phx Indian Medical Center said there was NO WAY I would get permission to conduct my study from the Navajo Nation ....as they are uber strict......

so....u guessed it....
changed them all back to generic reference to Native American women.....plus all the discussions surrounding any Navajo translators, translated docs, Navajo Nation members, self-identified Navajo mothers....etc.

so ....yeah.....running in circles as usual w/ all this.... =)

i am sooo confused.......yesterday, i survived a day of going in...doing my work...completing all that i could on the tasks i was given for the week....( 3 of 5 for the week done before 11 am...)....& waited to hear ANYTHING from anyone on the team...it seems as tho they are starting the big shutout....if u've worked in the cold inpersonal chickenshit environment that is the IT corporate world ......this is that which occurs when one is being phased out.... no answers from emails in addition requests to not attend weekly status meetings....todays manadatory team meeting was also just cancelled.....so ...who knows wtf is happening ...i guess i sit here and wait until i either get walked out ....or called on the phone by my recruiter.....in the meantime"?...i'll finish my breakfast burrito since i paid for it already & lord knows i may need to start watchin the pennies again.....BAH!~

Been a long weekend....
got all the latest PhD docs submitted to all the different Dr's that needed them....

so...in addition to aunt flo making me miserable yesterday...
the issue that is my 'psycho-c*ck-sucker, control-freak, insecure, ultra-conservative' PM & i finally came to verbal blows....
over the phone...me at home ...he ...i dont care where...

the same shite has been happening...
so i had my IT consulting firm rep call to find out what was up his a**.

in addition to the other micromanaging bullshite he spouted...
he mentioned to her that i have used company resources to play games
(stapler kidnapping & ppt w/ list of demands)....

back the f*ck up poindexter!~
i informed her of the truth....
I had shared the humor w/ him...that i had sent him a copy....
thinking we were bonding ....& he (for three weeks now ) has been holding this misconception against me...
what a f*ckin loser!~

i sent her the original email
(created on my home computer at 2 am from my gmail account)....
HA! company resources my ass .....
again....what.a.fu*kin loser!~

i then wrote the prick an email......advising that after speaking w/ his boss & my IT rep....it was decided best for me to take a personal day.....

long story short ....(if you're even still reading)
today was spent sleeping.....& wondering if i will have a job come monday.....

u know......at then base of all this shite is the fact that he doesn't respect me, believe that my actions are done w/ positive intent, & has formed incorrect negative opinions of my behavior, beliefs & work ethic.......people...life's to short....to put up w/ others who are as miserable as he is in their existence.....

i didn't go back into the work force to be unhappy....if i learned anything last yr ...during my time off....it was that life is too short to not be happy everyday.....i want to live my life joyfully...w/ passion....& not be around unkind people.....this might be turning point.....yet again..... =)

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0, NBA 3.0, and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

First, keep in mind Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Mistress 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.).

Also do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0, this will crash Husband 1.0.

the fact that he thought i was just a contractor who joined the team a month ago....

w/ his mngmnt style that borders on "i'm the male parent...u need to not ask questions & just do it little girl"....

& i am sure u can imagine my shock & "u've got to be f'in kidding me look on my face" .....

so...yeah....

i've managed to piss off someone who feels hes my superior because hes the employee & I am a contractor .....

spring ....
is most definately here.....

this beauty was in my accountant's backyard.....

she called me to tell me the cactus was blooming in her front yard....
& after firing off a few of the cactus & the poppies....

we went into the backyard to see if any of the iris's were still foto-ready =)
this reminds me of my mom.....her fave colour is yellow.....

well....its 1 am ....
just did a couple loads of laundry....
caught up on some tivo'd stuff....
took the garbage out...
watched the 5 minutes of rain that fell ((practically a storm for phx))
checked the calendar for meetings tomrw....

nite b4 last i blew the fuse for the dryer....
washing all the winter bedding.....
getting ready for summer....

& when i went out to the fuse box to see if i would be shopping for a new dryer.....
or if i had just blown a fuse....

i realized the box was accessible for anyone to peek inside.....

i could swear it used to have a lock on it?.....

because i live alone....
i do my best to protect myself ....
((i.e. ferocious dogs ((shush)), gun.....alarm system...))

but that's only useful if they get inside.....((god forbid))

so...today, i put a new lock on the box outside.....

i know this only slows them down....if they want in....they will find a way......

one can only hope to make it painful enough...
that they decide on another house .....

r u serious?...lady...i was standing at the sink in the washroom...rinsing my contacts....u DID NOT just waltz out of the stall ...after flushing....& make a beeline for the door?!?!.....good god woman....we are at work!.....u are disgusting!.....((note to self....always use paper towel on handles in all areas of building......))
what is it about two people walking towards each other who do not work together side by side...but perhaps pass each other in the building.....((which houses 1000's of people thru-out the day)) ....that can not....must not...WILL NOT make eye contact.....or say hi.....!?!?...am i the odd-ball here?..have i been out of the workforce too long this last hiatus?......jeezychreezy......its a simple acknowledgement... a simple nod, a simple smile, god forbid we take it up a notch & actually say HI!?!? .....fuckers
what corporate organization that functions on a 24 hour basis ((IT industry)) has a cafeteria (shitty, dead-animal based, at that)) that closes at 1:30 in the afternoon?!?!.....i had to practically beg the sweet little Hispanic guy behind the deli to give me a scoop of egg salad......& a slice of cheddar cheese......then i thought i would get adventurous?....& bought the homemade ...ranch kettle chips?!?..um yeah....MISTAKE......i wouldn't care about the cafe closing at 1:30 if it weren't such a pain in the ass to go down there floors ...across the parking lot.....drive out of the gate secured campus.....go get lunch ....& make the trek back to my desk on the third floor (( in 100+ degree'd weather soon)).....
Y does my dog KorKor make it her personal mission in life to chew every pen possible that she can get a hold of?......she has even figured out that there is a plethora of them on the desk .....so when momma is at work?! pen par-TAY!.... ordered new pens from staples last nite.....& will now need to put the pen-bucket up on the bookshelf......gotta luv a smart dog...i think she secretly wants some 'ink' on that pearly white bod of hers......
ok...not sure if you all in other parts of the country have this issue......Pixie & veritably bare can prolly relate since they live in southern states......but ....people! ..this is a corporate ((really nice, newly built)) building ......if you come from a country, home. neighborhood, or upbringing that required (s) you to place your toilet paper not in the toilet .....due to poor plumbing issues......that DOES NOT mean it is necessary to just throw it on the ground below the toilets here !?!?....R U KIDDING ME!...come on!......GROSS!.....

monday I had a WONDERFUL conversation w/someone who has become a new 'friend'.....
but was previously a tenured "aware of each-other" guy ...
in other words.....
when i was in 7th grade...he was in 8th...lol...
he would tease me in school & brought his friend along (as the wingman) to deal w/ me when he wanted to get into my 'easier' girlfriends panties at 'willow wood park' ...
i am not even sure what brought about our exchanging emails...& now phone calls....
but we have been 'talking' for about a yr or so....
i guess to sum the whole experience up?
there are nice guys out there...
good fathers....
the only problem?....
i can't find one here in az...

where people tend to still have that 'real people' mindset...

which i am still mulling over....
i participated in a live streaming ustream TV chat...
& i although i didn't mean to ....i managed to monopolize the conversation...

anywho.....
i asked the men in the conversation questions about the type of women they prefer...,
i asked how they felt about smart girls....girls who own their own home....who have jobs, goals, responsibilities...etc....((get where i was going ?))
yeah....i was asking for myself....
w/out explaining the whole thing....
& no.....
i did not get any real answers....nor did i leave that feeling any better about myself....my situation...my future lovelife possibilities....
they actually confirmed my fears w/out even realizing it.....
they made fun of my braininess......my IQ....
ribbed me for talking about my failure of two marriages...& brought it all down to sex ...
big surprise again...
of course they wanted to see pics....lol
because they could not fathom talking about the situation w/out deciding on their own if they would 'hit that'.....
losers.....
i left that conversation more confused about it all than before it started......
niiiice.....

first week at work was just that...
still getting settled in....
good to see familiar faces...
HATE getting up in the am...
can not get my ass to bed at a reasonable hour....
babies are all adjusting to momma being gone all day....
thankful that i am only 10 minutes away...
& can go home for lunch each day to get a snuggle & let them out to go potty....
i am, however, really enjoying getting a paycheck again....=)

this week has been HELL for my allergies...
itchy eyes.....
sneezing, sneezing & more sneezing....feeling wiped out from trying zyrtec ....
decided on claritin instead...

i have not had any real time to get any foto-fun in....
that saddens me....
as i still have a couple rolls to finish in the lomo fish-eye...
& want to get a good day in focusing just on the hasselblad.....
perhaps tmrw?....

i did manage to order & install a wacom editing tablet...
NO MORE MOUSE editing pain!
ever try to edit a layer off cactus spines?...um yeah...
can we say carpel tunnel?...
the additional bene to getting the wacom....
is the opportunity i had (& took) to order PS CS3 for over 1/2 off .....
(also a gr8 writeoff for next yrs taxes for the bus)

i installed it last nite...
& although i anticipate a steep learning curve?...
i am soooo looking forward to it.....

i paid bills today....
& am waiting anxiously (another 2 wks or so)
for my school funds to show....
i can pay some big chunks on some outstanding bills...
& it will feel really good to have those paid....

getting closer to ordering the D300 & all her accessories....
she has an additional 300.00 rebate currently .....
& of course all the bells/ whistles i want are 'currently instock'....
u have NO idea the amount of control i have exhibited this last week .....
it has been painful to not hit that 'order' button.....
even more painful because my new amex bus plat card is 0% interest thru the end of the yr!.......
any bets on how long i hold out?...........=)

i anticipate depositing my next reservation funds check right back into the savings accts....
both for the house & my health savings.....
i burned thru both while i was off...

1. Is sex hotter for you when it's forbidden? Or do you get wracked with guilt and it's not enjoyable? i am done partaking in relationships that would be forbidden....so i guess this question really doesnt apply? As far as sexual events that would be forbidden ( by societies standards?) yeah....that gets me hot....the thrill of possibly getting caught is quite the aphrodisiac....

2. Are casual sexual encounters fulfilling to you? Do you need an emotional commitment from your partner for sex to be fulfilling? they used to be .....but lately.....i really do not have the energy ...or care to take the risk of a casual sexual encounter.....& yes...i do need an emotional commitment from my partner for it to be fulfilling.....((i think i am growing up....LOL ))

received my LoMoFishEye Camera....

& a fish eye lens for it will run me in the 100's....
so ...instead i spent $90 for the camera, the external hotshoe flash that has 15 different filter colours, 2 packs of color film, & 2 packs B&W...
pretty good purchase if i say so myself......

Stubeans nephew escaped the snow of the midwest to visit his uncle & arrived this am....
in our adventures to entertain him all week....i should have a few foto-opps to test the LoMo...
Stuart also has a Hasselblad that i can not wait to get my hands on..... =)

should be VERY interesting ......
as i do not have any real experience w/ film cameras....
i plan on getting the negatives cross processed to get the colors to really pop.....
& what i mean by cross processing .....
is that i will buy reg 35 & 120 format film ....
but get the negatives processed as slide film....
u can do vice-versa too .......but i think slide film is more expensive.
i will then get them all loaded onto a DVD & post process using Photoshop...... =)

Believed in myself....of course ...not the easiest thing....but in the end....always the greatest.

the yrs that i allowed the influence of a man (who ultimately decieved me ) to keep me away from my family & not mend the relationships. i of course divorced him...but i can never get those 8 yrs...yes...8 yrs back that i chose not to speak to my family.....

this weekend was a busy one.....
Andy, a friend of mine left the snow & cold of NY state...
to enjoy the sun poolside....among other AZ delights...
the pups didnt really know what to think of that noise he kept making.....but i thought it was rather nice...... =)

of course ....
saturday we did the drive up into the mountains to Sedona.....
i always luv the reaction when visitors see the RedRocks for the first time......
after exiting the hwy...
you take that corner ......
& BAM!
beauty.....
never fails.....
u tell people about the Red Rocks.....
but until they see them.....it doesnt really make sense....

Afterwards we took the detour over the mnts back home....
thru jerome.....
always a nice drive...=)
there was snow ....quite a bit actually....
not really what Andy left NY to see.....but i thought it was beautiful......
after getting back into town....removed all the redrock dust...& got ready to meet Amy (see below) but her kids were sick....
so..we did the next best thing...
we went to the taste of Thai instead.....YUM!....
Andy ate FIRE....& i had a delicious sweet-n-sour chix.....

Sunday ....we arranged to see Amy...
a friend of Andy's at the Scottish highland games.....
& for the record....before we go any further...
can I just say how f'in hot a man in a kilt is?.....

& afterwards...we went out for delicious Mexican food @ cafe Bario (best guacamole made at the table I have EVAH had) on 16th street just south of Thomas......

I of course being the hostess w/ the mostess.....
gave Andy my room.....(w/ Bella & Zoe....(traitors!)...
while i was on the couch....(w/ korkor....)....
so...natually ...I was not seduced into a coma from that bed.......lol
anywho....I digress.....
when we finally got rollin.....
we took the cameras out back...
played w/ the pups & my collection of ducks in the pool......
later we tried to capture the sunset.....
(u can see from the pics...Andy's camera was permanently attached to his face the whole time he was here....)
& took the pups for a walk before taking Andy to the airport for his trip back to the frozen tundra of NY.....

all in all ....a nice weekend.....

finished my tax numbers for my accountant & found out its gonna be a good return yr =)can we say Nikon D300 ....OH MY!

figured out i have a check comin from the reservation $$$

finished all the front / backyard lawn issues...

fixed the pool pump chlorinator thingy (i have a salt water system)

well...
i was suppose to f/u w/ my committee chair this am...
now it appears i have to call the university on her a**today...
i have been waiting for feedback (which i was hoping was the final round ) from her for 2 weeks now...
yeah...like i have semester time to waste..
my financial aide doesn't pay when i don't advance thru the program....
& i was ok w/ having to pay this term ....
since we(committee chair and i ) were working towards ensuring it would be submitted to the international review board by end of term..
now...however...if she doesnt get her a** in gear....
i'm f*cked again....for next term
each term has 10 weeks...w/ a two week break in between....
this is wk 7....
my proposal still needs to go thru the rest of the committee review...
& we know they will want to add their 2 cents....
they have 2 weeks to do so ....once they get it....
yup..do the math....end of term....
even before i get a chance to resubmit....
FUCK!.....

so....i guess i will be calling the university today to discuss my options ....
ask how i remedy this situation....

went to see Juno this eve....
brilliant....script & delivery
i cried..i laughed....i wavered (as in moved unsteadily back & forth)

in my decision of who i felt compassion for & who i thought had evil agendas....
in my book.....when you to feel these emotions so strong in the 1.5 -2.0 hour time frame of a production....
the producers have done their job.....

it rained here today....
& i should have known that was to be the case later in the day.....
because i got up early w/ a doozy of a sinus headache....
took some tylenol sinus & after letting the babies back in .....
crawled back into bed for a couple more hours....

was still married to a man...& father of her 4 children...
as her life partner....& were living toether in my previous friends home.....
so be it.....
i accepted ...
worried?...yes.....
but accepted.....
so many different dynamics going on....
such possibility for an unhappy ending
but they seemed to be getting thru it....
so i was happy for her....

unfortunately....
our bond fell to the wayside....
which is understandable....
new responsibilities....
less & less free time....
which when avail.....
now was focused on her relationship......
no more roadtrips.....
no more shopping sprees
no more just hanging out.....
times change...

so.....imagine my surprise when i read on her blog ....
they have bought another home ....
& moved......
no phone call....
no email...
no invite to the housewarming party that was shown in the pictures on her blog.....
hurt?...yeah i guess....
used to it?....also sadly yes.....
......u see .....we used to live w/in walking distance.....
now....who knows where she moved to....
& evidently....she didnt want me to know either.....
& i was more than willing to accept this .....
i'm not in the community....
a hetero....a bi...a non-lesbian....
i guess thats how i rationalize this all....
she & her 'cousin"partner...w/the four kids are now fully integrated into the community.....
no time for nonfamily friends......

now...the old DrM2B would've continued to email.....
invite for a random saturday roadtrip.....
like we used to .....
but i made a conscious decision to take a step back.....
not intrude....
not force an invitation....
not obligate....
after they moved .....w/ no word.

& this previous friend still works where we used to together.....
& has very openly displayed the sonograms of her & her partners (& ?doner?) twins on her blog......
was i shocked....
no ....she had always wanted to be a parent.....
was i surprised they actually went thru w/ adding two more mouths to their family?....

i guess at this point.....i am so far removed .....i'm viewing it all as someone looking in.....
not a friend involved in the event.....

was i wondering 'wtf' when i heard thru the grapevine.....
that she 'had' to make an announcement at work regarding the babies.....
because 'someone" ((read...me)) had spoken to another previous co-worker....who then told someone who still works there....who then decided to ask her 'if she was preggers"......

yeah.....i was more than miffed...
first off.....why would someone NOT want to share something that is supposed to be a wonderful joyous loving event in their lives?.....
what kind of vibe does THAT send to the babies?....
why place blame on me....
when its public info....(um..out on the internets)....
i, unlike others w/in that org....still have working adult relationships w/ people i worked w/.....
relationships built on friendships....
we catch up on the phone....have lunch....check in on each other ...
the relationships didnt end....just because we didnt work together any longer....
